An exercise in methodical design, this Guest House project necessitated all spaces to be as functional as they are beautiful. STUDIO.ASHTEN selected ethereal shades of dusty green and terracotta to create a light palette, visually enlarging the space, which fluidly compliments the grounding, rich materials of dimensional marble countertops and handcrafted metal.

For this stately powder room, STUDIO.ASHTEN sourced rich, organic materials to demonstrate the power of duality; meandrous forest green veining of dimensional marble is grounded by structured Southwestern-motif tile in the main space while glossy and vibrant vertical stacked tile is softened by hand-tumbled limestone flooring of various shapes.

Re-envisioning the home's original 1920s fragmentary footprint, STUDIO.ASHTEN opened up the floor plan to allow for better flow and additional storage for a growing family. While honoring its Spanish Mediterranean foundation, STUDIO.ASHTEN designed the space with a fresh yet traditional palette that creates visual expasion and embraces the Clients’ East Coast roots.
